Treasure Hunting System: The Ocean Conquerer

Chapter 993 - 413: The First City in the Sky

Chapter 993 - 413: The First City in the Sky

Alka and the others piloted the Sound of Dawn, stopping on the surface of the sea, surrounded by nothing but an endless, boundless ocean.

Everyone stood on the deck, and Ulu Liwus stood at the center, raising its dragon head, gazing at the sky above them.

"Is this the place?" Alka asked, a bit unsure.

Because there was nothing here.

No points of reference, nothing special, just the sea they would usually navigate through.

But this was their destination.

Alka even opened his eye that could see into secrets, but still saw nothing.

If it was true, then it meant the protection here was indeed very tight, almost at the level of the divine.

Ulu Liwus nodded at the confused crowd and said, "It is right here, right around us. It’s invisible because it’s hidden.

Hidden very deeply, no one can discover it, not even the divine."

With that, Ulu Liwus spread its wings, poised as if about to take flight.

But the wings didn’t flap, they just held that position, with its head held high. The Crystal Pillar Stone on its body began to emit a brilliant radiance. At that moment, Ulu Liwus opened its mouth and chanted in a language Alka and the others couldn’t quite understand, but could comprehend the meaning. As the language was spoken, it stirred the magic power around them.

"I sing high here; I am the Dragon of Radiance, I am the Prismatic Dragon, the Splendid Stone shall mend the world.

We shall use our resplendent bodies to shape the world’s shell, protecting its everlasting glory!"

The words were like a spell, but also like a proclamation, and a faint light began to sparkle around them.

Taking the opportunity, Alka’s secret-seeing eye at last detected the hidden ripples in the air.

The ripples grew broader, more frequent, and the surrounding light became increasingly radiant.

Then a bright flash completely obscured everyone’s vision; the white light flashed by. Changes had occurred in their location, yet they still floated on the sea’s surface, and the sea appeared unchanged.

However, when they looked up to the sky, right above them, there was a massive structure made of white stone and some crystal stones floating overhead.

This immense edifice cast them into shadow, yet there were plenty of broken stones surrounding it.

From below, they couldn’t discern the specifics of the building’s top, but from the floating debris around, it seemed this structure had become somewhat ruined.

The debris consisted of various building walls or rather pillars, and one could see carvings and patterns, with structures resembling door frames or windows.

These should be the outer walls of a cluster of buildings.

Floating in the sky, it seemed as if time had stopped.

"So, it has become a ruin?" Ulu Liwus murmured, seemingly not surprised by the scene before him.

"Is this the place you mentioned?" Jason asked, looking at the building floating above them.

Ulu Liwus nodded, "The Splendid Capital Nafapas, the first city in the sky."

"How do we get up there? Fly up?" Chadite asked.

"The gravity around here seems off," Julia said, suddenly pushing off hard from the boat.

Her whole body floated lightly skyward.

Seeing this, everyone began to imitate her, the Puppet Girls seemed very delighted with the experience.

Pororo bounced forcefully, flying up like an arrow, and quickly used his hand as a buffer as he was about to hit a piece of debris.

However, perhaps his strength was slightly overextended, for although he hit a chunk of stone, he was uninjured, and the stone swung slightly upward with his impact.

Everything here seemed to have lost gravity.

Ulu Liwus spread its wings, and easily took to the air, barely needing to flap.

Alka, leaping with Lucilia, jumped onto the nearest piece of debris, and as it swayed, they stood stably on it.

The stone underfoot seemed to be part of a stone pillar, with a circular crystal sculpted ring.

In this zero-gravity space, everyone displayed their unique abilities, rapidly climbing upward. They wanted a closer look at what this enormous building above their heads had turned into.

Chadite transformed into a blue shooting star, flying up to catch Alka’s hand. The two of them soared skyward at high speed.

Then slowing down, they drifted upwards, finally seeing the full appearance of the building floating in the sky before them.

It was a massive structure, resembling a fortress.

Or perhaps a colossal castle.

The fortress was made entirely of white materials, with silver metals and nearly transparent crystals embellishing it.

Countless tall towers and spires had collapsed—almost half the city’s structures had fallen in. It was hard to see any building completely intact.

Yet there appeared to be no complete devastation, most structures were partially missing, turning into debris scattered around.
