Chapter 745. Attack on Titans (1/2)

The Giant Titan Mecha finally managed to catch Tyler’s mech.

Its enormous hand closed around the small machine and squeezed with terrifying force. Metal groaned for a brief moment before the mech was crushed into scrap. To ordinary people, that would have been the end of the battle.

Almost immediately, another identical mech appeared from below. The new mech accelerated upward while firing continuously. Energy blasts and missiles struck the Titan’s lower body, drawing its attention once again. Before the giant machine could react, Tyler’s mech transformed both arms into massive drill heads and charged forward.

The drills spun rapidly as Tyler aimed directly for the Titan’s lower body.

Sparks flew everywhere.

The sound of metal grinding against metal echoed across the district.

Tyler quickly discovered that the Titan’s armor was absurdly tough. Even with the drills operating at full power, progress was slow. The rotating drills barely managed to create a shallow opening.

At that moment, the Titan responded.

Its giant hand swung downward and attempted to grab Tyler again. The attack was so direct that Tyler almost laughed.

He immediately dodged to the side. The giant hand missed him completely and slammed into the Titan’s own body.

A loud explosion followed.

Chunks of armor were torn away.

Tyler’s eyes narrowed slightly.

The Titan itself didn’t seem bothered by the damage, but Tyler had noticed something important.

The attack had actually worked.

The damage inflicted by its own strength was greater than anything Tyler had managed so far.

"So that’s how it is."

Tyler immediately stopped trying to break through the armor from the outside. The Titan was simply too large. Its armor was too thick. Trying to destroy it piece by piece would take far too long.

Instead, Tyler began moving around the giant machine while deliberately provoking it. Every few seconds he would fire a few attacks before immediately changing position.

As expected, the Titan continued trying to crush him.

Again and again its giant hands struck its own body.

Again and again pieces of armor were destroyed.

The openings gradually became larger.

Several minutes later, Tyler finally saw an opportunity.

The moment the Titan attacked once more, Tyler boosted forward and plunged directly into the damaged opening that is between it’s crotch.

The spinning drills tore through the weakened armor and created a passage into the Titan’s interior.

The giant machine immediately realized something was wrong. It’s hand launched itself between it’s own legs. Destroying parts of it.

Then Both of its hands moved toward its own body. Its only goal was removing the small intruder inside. The giant hand repeatedly struck its own chest and abdomen.

Large sections of armor collapsed inward. To outside observers, it looked completely insane.

The Titan was destroying itself while trying to catch a mech.

Inside the Titan, Tyler continued advancing. His mech’s drills eventually shattered from overuse, but by then he had already reached the central chamber.

The moment he entered, his eyes lit up.

In the center of the square , The Titan hand plunged into its own chest and pulled a massive core.

A dark purple Carbonyx crystal was embedded inside it. Surrounding the crystal were countless processors and control modules connected to the Titan’s AI system.

The entire machine revolved around this single component. Tyler’s mecha already grabbed the core.

Warning messages immediately filled the Titan’s systems.

Emergency protocols activated. Unfortunately, it was already too late.

The entire core assembly was ripped free from its housing and was in Titan’s hand.

The Titan suddenly froze.

Its movements stopped completely. The giant machine remained standing for a few seconds before losing balance.

Then it fell.

The impact shook several surrounding districts. Buildings collapsed. Roads cracked apart.

Even Tyler’s mech was crushed beneath the Titan’s enormous body.

But soon Tyler deployed another Mecha.

A communication request immediately appeared.

Tyler accepted it.

Ariel’s face appeared on the screen.

"Congratulations, Captain. You entered the Humanoid Titan from behind, penetrated it to the core."

Tyler frowned.

"When you describe it like that, it sounds strange."

Ariel nodded seriously.

"I know."

Tyler looked at her for several seconds.

For some reason, he felt that something was wrong, but he couldn’t just prove it.

Ariel continued before he could think too much about it.

"Anyway, the Humanoid Titan is down. That leaves the giant spider, the octopus, and those two giant balls rolling around the city."

Tyler immediately shifted his attention to the battlefield map.

The two giant spheres were still causing problems.

They rolled through districts at high speed while continuously firing weapons in every direction. Several Ember squads were already trying to stop them, but the results weren’t very impressive.

Tyler rubbed his forehead.

Compared to the Humanoid Titan, those things looked even more troublesome.

"Looks like it’s time to Play with those balls." Ariel said.

Then,

Ariel remained silent.

Tyler remained silent.

Rose placed the giant shield on her back and began looking around the construction district. Soon, her eyes landed on several massive cables scattered across the ground. They were originally part of a suspension bridge or transportation system before the battle reduced the area to ruins.

An idea immediately appeared in her mind.

She quickly gathered the thick cables and dragged them toward a nearby construction crane.

Unlike ordinary cranes, this futuristic model was built using highly flexible materials. It was designed to withstand enormous pressure during large-scale construction projects.

Rose jumped onto the crane and tied the cables around its upper section.

Then she began pulling.

The giant mech planted its feet firmly on the ground and slowly walked backward while pulling with all its strength.

The crane gradually bent.

Then it bent even further.

Nearby soldiers stopped fighting for a moment and stared at the strange scene.

A giant mech was literally turning an entire construction crane into a giant slingshot.

"What is she doing?" one Ember soldier asked.

"No idea."

"I don’t think she knows either."

The crane continued bending until it reached its limit.

Rose nodded in satisfaction.

"Perfect."

Then she released the cables.

The crane instantly snapped back to its original shape.

A tremendous force launched Rose’s mech into the sky.

The giant machine shot upward like a cannonball, pierced through the clouds, and disappeared from everyone’s sight.

The soldiers below looked up.

"..."

"That actually worked?"
