Chapter 404 - 378: The Mastermind of Plan A
Chapter 404 - 378: The Mastermind of Plan A
The pale yellow injectable liquid made Jasper Yamada even more violent. He flew into a rage, charging at the servant who brought the medicine.
Howard Yamada immediately stepped forward to stop him, and the two began fighting in the waterside pavilion.
Jasper Yamada was incredibly destructive, each punch leaving a crater, and his speed was astonishing.
"Tsk, tsk... Beastmen truly live up to their reputation as the strongest beings of Ancient Times..."
Dawn Miles heard Elias Lennox mutter in awe. She pursed her lips, moved swiftly behind Jasper Yamada, and struck several points on his back.
Jasper Yamada’s body swayed a few times, and then he was completely immobilized.
"The medicine—"
Howard Yamada’s eyes lit up. He immediately waved for his men to hurry and restrain his son, injecting a dose of the drug into his neck.
The drug took effect quickly. The mountain-like body fell forward, finally still and quiet.
"Miss Harrow, I can’t thank you enough." Howard Yamada looked at Dawn Miles as if he were seeing a priceless treasure, his gratitude fervent.
Dawn Miles gave a slight nod.
Suddenly, the phrase "Daughter of the Moon" came to mind, and she instinctively took two steps back.
"My two distinguished guests, please follow me."
After having his son taken away, Howard Yamada invited the pair into a reception room.
He had fresh tea served.
Elias Lennox spoke with him about the Trent Family and The Holy Mountain, provoking Howard Yamada’s fury.
"Damn the Winslow Clan! Sooner or later, we’ll drive them out of The Holy Mountain..."
"The recent purge was very sudden, and we lost a significant amount of data. We’ve come here primarily to retrieve the files that Mr. Victor Trent left with The Yamada Family."
Howard Yamada was taken aback. "Files? I honestly don’t know anything about that. Tiger never gave us any files."
"It’s highly likely he hid it here in secret..." Elias Lennox’s gaze swept over to the girl calmly sipping her tea. "Junior Sister, what do you think?"
But Dawn Miles shot him a glance before turning to Howard Yamada. "Family Head," she said lightly, "could we see the room that Mr. Victor Trent used to stay in?"
"Of course."
Howard Yamada then had someone lead them to the bedroom Victor Trent had often used.
"Junior Sister, where do you think he would’ve hidden it?"
After entering the bedroom, Elias Lennox glanced around before leaning against a wall, his eyes on Dawn Miles.
She ignored him, speaking softly to her wrist instead. "Ditto Miles, scan the room for a hard drive..."
Seeing the red light emanating from her device, Elias Lennox chuckled teasingly. "Junior Sister, Young Lord Morgan really is everywhere, isn’t he..."
"He’s a good person."
"You remember him?"
Dawn Miles recalled his gentle gaze, and a warmth filled her eyes.
Elias Lennox looked away, a cold glint flashing in his eyes.

Ditto Miles actually found a hard drive in a hidden compartment in the room.
The compartment was located under a floorboard beneath the tatami mat.
Dawn Miles retrieved a small, silver combination lockbox from the compartment.
"Ditto Miles, crack the code."
The robot scanned the small box, and strings of code began flashing rapidly across its screen.
After a few minutes, a password appeared on Ditto Miles’s screen.
Dawn Miles entered the code on the lockbox. With a soft CLICK, the lid popped open.
Elias Lennox moved with lightning speed to snatch the hard drive, but Dawn Miles was ready for him.
As his hand shot out, she quickly tossed the box to Ditto Miles.
"Ditto Miles, protect the box."
"Activating Level One Protective Mode!"
Elias Lennox froze. The meddlesome robot was now glowing with a red light.
He had no choice but to raise his hands in a gesture of surrender. "Alright, alright, I won’t take it. Let’s cooperate. How about we develop the drug together?"
Dawn Miles shook her head. "This is just a temporary partnership."
"Junior Sister, the saying goes, ’The enemy of my enemy is my friend.’ Right now, we have a common enemy..."
As he spoke, Elias Lennox slid open a nearby door, revealing numerous members of The Yamada Clan standing outside.
"Junior Sister, give me the box." He held out a hand to Dawn Miles.
The smile on his face was chillingly thin.
Dawn Miles’s pupils contracted. She looked at them calmly for a moment. "When did you contact The Yamada Clan?"
"The Harrow, Yamada, and Lowell families were cooperating as far back as forty years ago. Otherwise, how could your grandfather have obtained the blood and genes of our three clans?"
"So the Harrow Family is the one leading Plan A?"
When Dawn Miles first heard Alvin Morgan explain Plan A, she had been puzzled. How did her grandfather know about the unique properties of the blood from the three Martial God descendants?
Her grandfather was just a biologist, not a member of the Martial World. The Yamada and that D family had been in seclusion for hundreds of years, so how did he obtain their blood and uncover its secrets?
Especially since the special protein required for the S-active cells was only found in the blood of these three Martial God descendants.
If no one told him, how could he have known the secret of their blood?
Elias Lennox smiled. "You’re very clever, Junior Sister. It was indeed my father who approached Professor Young. At the time, the professor was desperately seeking a cure for his daughter’s illness. My father admired his skills, so he gave him three vials of blood for his research. As it happened, those three vials contained blood from the descendants of the three Martial Gods. We never expected him to actually uncover the secrets within our blood. A pity the head of the Young Family was too greedy..."
"The Young Family is responsible for the massacre of my grandfather’s family?" Dawn Miles’s fists clenched, a storm brewing in her eyes.
"That’s right. My father nearly died in the Young Family’s laboratory, so he led a team to destroy it. They had originally intended to extract Professor Young, but they were a step too late. The Young Family brought in reinforcements and nearly wiped them all out. After my father escaped, he laid low for several years before finally annihilating the Young Family and propping up the Trent Family..."
Dawn Miles’s gaze turned sharp. "Your father was one of the 26 Super Soldiers?"
Alvin Morgan had shown her the files on the 26 Super Soldiers. Each one could be matched to a scion of one of Kingsford’s major families. There was no one with the surname Lennox among them, and Alvin Morgan had said all of them were real people.
’In other words, it’s impossible for Elias Lennox’s father to have replaced one of them. Unless he was disguised at the time... but in a laboratory forty years ago, even with a disguise, you can’t fake your DNA.’
’Didn’t any of them realize it?’
Elias Lennox leaned against the wall and shook his head with a faint laugh.
"Junior Sister, it wasn’t 26 Super Soldiers who escaped the lab. It was 27. My father’s status was special; Professor Young deliberately concealed his identity, making him one of the lab’s researchers. The head of the Young Family had no idea my father was also a Super Soldier. In fact, the entire lab breakout was orchestrated by my father, which is why the other 26 would never reveal this secret."
Dawn Miles froze. A voice suddenly echoed in her mind: "Let me live, and I’ll tell you a secret about people like us."
’Was this the secret that person had wanted to tell them?’
Dawn Miles pinched the bridge of her nose, her lips forming a whispered name. "Doyle Lockwood..."
"He was indeed one of the 26 Super Soldiers. Over the past forty years, the Super Soldiers from that time have... contributed a great deal to our experiments."
The horrific scenes from the laboratory resurfaced in Dawn Miles’s mind, and her body began to tremble.
Her head bowed slightly, she asked in a low voice, "Does Eldest Martial Uncle know about all this?"
Elias Lennox faltered for a moment, then the smile on his lips widened. "What do you think?"
The aura around Dawn Miles grew colder and heavier. "My master’s murder... did he know about that too?"
Elias Lennox’s hair slowly began to change color, his pupils shifting to a shade of amber. "Your master knew far too much."
